Description
Baby Shower Pooja (Seemantham / Valaikaapu) is a sacred Hindu ceremony performed to bless the expectant mother and her unborn child.
It is one of the most important Samskaras (Vedic life rituals) that celebrates motherhood and prays for a safe pregnancy, healthy delivery,
and the well-being of both mother and baby.
The ritual is traditionally performed during the 7th or 9th month of pregnancy when the baby’s growth is stable.
The Seemantha Sanskaram includes Ganapathi Pooja, Punyahavachanam, Homam, and
Aashirvadam (blessings) from elders, invoking divine protection and positive energy for the mother and child.
This pooja signifies purity, happiness, and divine grace, ensuring that the journey of motherhood begins with the blessings of the Almighty and the family’s ancestors.
