Ayudha Pooja (Vijaya Dashami Pooja) is a revered Hindu festival and Vedic ritual that celebrates gratitude towards the
tools, vehicles, instruments, and implements that assist us in our daily lives and professions.
The word Ayudha means “weapon” or “tool,” symbolizing respect for one’s livelihood, efforts, and instruments of progress.

Traditionally observed on the Navami (ninth day) of Navaratri or on Vijaya Dashami, this pooja invokes the blessings of
Goddess Durga, Goddess Saraswati, and Lord Vishwakarma.
It is performed to sanctify and energize all objects of work — from vehicles, machinery, and tools to books and musical instruments — bringing success, prosperity, and divine protection.

Ayudha Pooja symbolizes that no work is mundane when done with devotion — honoring tools of livelihood is equivalent to worshipping the Divine that resides in all forms of work and creation.
