Marriage (Vivaham or Kalyanam) is one of the most sacred and joyous Samskaras in Hindu tradition — symbolizing the spiritual and emotional union of two souls.
At Shri Vigneshwara Vedic Seva, we perform marriage rituals for both Brahmin and Non-Brahmin traditions, following authentic Vedic procedures and regional customs.
Our experienced priests ensure every ritual — from Nischayathartham (Engagement) to Muhurtham (Marriage Day) — is conducted with sanctity, precision, and cultural reverence.

Both bride and groom take a purifying herbal bath on the morning of the wedding.
Lord Ganesha and the nine planets are worshipped to remove obstacles and bring divine blessings.
The groom symbolically renounces worldly life and sets out for Kashi (pilgrimage).
The groom is welcomed at the wedding venue with a garland, aarti, and blessings.
The bride’s father places his daughter’s hand in the groom’s hand, symbolizing the giving away of his daughter.
The groom ties the mangalsutra (thali) around the bride’s neck in three knots.
The couple circles the sacred fire (Agni Pradakshina / Saptapadi) seven times.
Elders bless the couple with rice and flowers for a happy married life.

Vaathiyar and devotees take a vow stating the purpose of the Homam — such as health, prosperity, or spiritual purification.
Holy water is sanctified and sprinkled to purify the place, the participants, and all pooja materials.
Kalasams (sacred pots) are placed and worshipped, symbolizing divine presence and blessings.
The ritual begins with invoking Lord Ganesha to remove all obstacles and ensure the successful completion of the Homam.
The sacred fire (Agni) is invoked with mantras, as it is the divine messenger carrying the offerings to the Gods.
Ghee, herbs, grains, and other offerings are poured into the fire while chanting powerful Vedic mantras specific to the Homam being performed.
Devotees walk around the fire and offer salutations, signifying surrender and gratitude to the divine.
Aarti is performed to the deities, symbolizing the removal of darkness and spreading of divine light.

At Shri Vigneshwara Vedic Seva, to make every ritual — from Poojas, Homams, and Samskaras to Marriage and Temple Ceremonies — pure, authentic, and easily accessible for everyone seeking spiritual peace and prosperity.
